Overall Grading Policy

• A “C” indicates average work. The student will have completed all the coursework, and has shown an acceptable grasp of the material in papers and exams.

• A “B” indicates better than average work. The student has completed the course material, thought through and discussed the issues in class, and shows a good grasp of the material in papers and exams.

• An “A” indicates excellent work. The student has completed the course material, thought through and discussed the issues in class, and has demonstrated scrupulousness, insight, and a critical mind in his or her writing.
