Introduction to Judaism Web Resources

- As always, the Wikipedia entry is useful. Follow the entry on Judaism around. What are the major points? Wikipedia is built by people, organized and defined by regular folks and scholars. How is the entry organized? This will tell you what the majority of those people consider important to know. I am not going to vouch for the scholarly value of anything on the entry. I will vouch that this is a good picture of what many Jews--across boundaries--think are import major points they want to make to each other and the world or wikipedia readers. Note moderated disputes or places where the entry tries to look at an issue from all sides. Do not just use the wikipedia entries as sources of information, but look at them as if you are an Anthropologist, a Religionist, examining how people represent themselves and argue through issues important to them.
note: I think wikipedia is an important tool for people to build intellectual bridges since they are forced to work together and give each other space to express themselves. Check it out in that light.
